The red and white colors of the cedar along with the knots are brought out of each log during construction. The log side rails and outside log on the body are constructed of red cedar as are the log legs. Northwoods Billiards' signature spotting point - a pine tree cut from black walnut - is embedded in the rail.The Red Cedar Ponderosa's inner body is constructed of 0.75-inch seven-ply plywood. The top surface of the body is machined on a CNC (computerized router) for ease of assembly and to ensure the slate will lay flat and level. The inner body is then covered with ponderosa pine and hand-hewn for a rustic look. The tabletop is one-inch Brazilian slate.The log side rails are constructed of two-inch strips of red cedar and laminated together to ensure they will stand straight and true. They are then hand-hewn using a drawknife into a massive log shape so each table has its
